    • Note: Make sure you save the file in a safe location such as your home drive (H:) or a flash drive.
    • Note: Normally we would suggest adding "firefox" to the filename, but that seems to cause issues with this process on some versions of Firefox, so we advise to leave the file name the default.
  7. Verify that you see the file in the location you saved it.  Please note, this file is not in HTML format and an easily readible format so you cannot open it and view the contents.

Import:

  1. Launch Mozilla Firefox
  2. Open the Bookmarks Menu (located to the right of the address and search bars)
  3. Choose "Show All Bookmarks" and then "Bookmark Manager"
  4. Click the "Import and Backup" menu
  5. Choose "Restore" and then "Choose File"
  6. Browse to the location you saved your file, select it, and click Open
  7. Click OK when prompted with "This will replace all of your current bookmarks with the backup.  Are you sure?"
  8. Your bookmarks should now be restored.
